Have an idea you’d like turned into a physical item? Prime 42 offers custom FDM 3D printing for personalized gifts, display pieces, prototypes, organizers, replacement parts, functional components, and other one-of-a-kind projects.

We can produce single-color, multicolor, and specialty-filament prints based on your requested size, colors, material, and specifications.

Please contact us before purchasing. Every custom project is different, and final pricing is based on the size, material usage, print time, number of colors, design work, complexity, quantity, finishing requirements, and intended use.

Customer-supplied 3D files

Already have a model? We can work with customer-supplied STL, 3MF, OBJ, and STEP files, provided you created the file or have authorization to use it.

Additional charges may apply if your model requires repairs, resizing, modification, optimization, support changes, or other preparation before printing.

Starting pricing

Custom projects start at $19.99.

General pricing guidelines:

• Standard PLA or PETG material: approximately $0.08 per gram
• Standard print time: approximately $2 per printing hour
• One print color included
• Additional colors start at $5 each
• Custom design/modeling: $35 per hour
• Design work has a one-hour minimum and is billed in 30-minute increments after the first hour
• Specialty filaments, assembly, finishing, unusually complex designs, and large projects are quoted separately

These are general guidelines only. You will receive a project-specific quote before production begins.

Materials and colors

Available materials and colors vary by project. Common options include PLA and PETG, along with multicolor and specialty-filament options which may increase time due to the need to order special colors.

If you have a specific color, finish, or material in mind, include that information when requesting your quote.
