Who is Prime 42?
Prime 42 LLC is a veteran-owned brand based in El Paso County, Texas. We make and hand-select purpose-built items for people who think differently, inspired by military service, science fiction, and the number 42.
Why "42"?
If you know, you know. 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. For us it stands for curiosity over conformity, precision over noise, and function with personality.
Are your products made to order?
Yes, most are. Apparel, stickers, and decals are printed on demand by our production partners (Printful and Printify) when you order, which cuts waste. 3D prints are also produced to order. Some other items are hand-selected.
Why do some 3D prints say "Sold out"?
Those are request-only prints. We print them only when someone asks, so they can't be added to the cart. Tap "Request this print" and we'll email you the price, colors and timing. You pay only after you approve.
How long until my order ships?
Orders are usually processed within 2–5 business days. Some items take longer depending on how they're made, the item type, or order volume. Processing time doesn't include shipping time. You'll get a confirmation email with tracking when your order ships. See our Shipping Policy for details.
Where do you ship, and what does it cost?
We ship within the United States and internationally. Standard U.S. shipping is free on orders of $35 or more. Under $35, 3D prints ship for a flat $4.99 and print-on-demand items ship at our fulfillment partners' standard rates. Faster options are available at checkout. US orders usually arrive 2–10 business days after they ship. International orders ship at full calculated rates, which cost more than U.S. shipping, and delivery times depend on the destination and carrier. International orders may owe customs fees, duties, or import taxes, and those are the customer's responsibility.
Can I return or exchange an item?
Because most items are made to order, we don't accept returns for a change of mind. We do accept returns if an item arrives damaged or defective, or if we sent the wrong item. Please report the problem within 14 days of delivery, and include your order number and photos. We'll reship it at no cost or refund you, including the shipping you paid. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. Clearance items, limited releases, and digital products can't be returned. See our Refund Policy.
My package was lost or arrived damaged. What do I do?
Contact us within 14 days of delivery (or of the expected delivery date for a lost package) with your order number and photos, if you have them. We'll reship it at no cost or refund you, including the shipping you paid.
What is the difference between a sticker and a decal?
Stickers are printed vinyl with adhesive, made for laptops, bottles, and gear. Decals are made for windows, vehicles, and other smooth surfaces. Check each listing for size and finish.
Who designs the 3D prints?
Some of our 3D prints are original Prime 42 designs. Others are licensed designs from independent creators: Koza Design, Blob Lab, Clickify 3D and Printable Accessories. Each listing names the designer, for example "Design by Blob Lab, printed by Prime 42." We sell finished physical prints only.
Can I request a custom 3D print?
Yes. Fill out our Custom 3D Print Request form with your idea, size, material, and any files, and we'll reply with a quote.
How do I care for apparel?
Wash inside out in cold water, then tumble dry low or hang dry. Don't iron directly on the print.
How do I find my size?
Every apparel listing has a size chart. If you're between sizes, size up for a relaxed fit.
